Overcoming Adversity

“Ultimately the question is this: will your wounding destroy you, or will it empower you?” Donna DeNomme from 8 Keys to Wholeness

We each encounter those challenges which may seem insurmountable. … sometime all it takes is a listening ear, a kind understanding, and the space to navigate through on our own path of success. There is not just one “right” way. The question is what are you going to DO with your wild and precious life? There is so much more ahead for you …

There is an inner drive that lives inside each one of us and seeks balance. This force helped me to grow beyond a survivor into something much more personally empowered. In later years, my foremost message would be one of embracing a path of healing, rather than allowing ourselves to stay stuck in perpetual and destructive patterns which continue to re-wound us as victims. Within you there is this natural and creative force – where it bubbles forth can’t be predicted. Open to what is within you that knows there is more, regardless of the challenge of where you have been or where you are right now. And never hold to harsh, rigid judgments about what is life’s path. Often it is that which challenges us that ultimately shapes our character. Our greatest gifts may be wrapped up in seeming challenge.

Perhaps all the dragons of our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us once, beautiful and brave. Perhaps everything terrible is in Its deepest being something that needs our love. — Rainer Maria Rilke

“Love is being present with what “is” and loving it anyway – and that includes the whole truth about who we are, where we have been, and what we have endured.” Donna DeNomme
