Dance of Peace in Grand Lake

With Sincere Appreciation and Heart-Felt Gratitude
Celebrating 32 years of service in private client practice

One of the many blessings through the years was been connecting with Timothy Dobson and Bill Burlage during a Peace Program I helped facilitate at Mile Hi Church – I was introduced to the Dances of Universal Peace … and fell in love with them. I later trained under Timothy and led dances at many of my events and my spiritual retreats, sometimes assisted by drummer Bill Burlage and guitarist Robin Maynard. Andy and Eliana joined us on didgeridoo a few times, too. What a joy-filled experience!
 `
Here’s how I described the dances:

Simple movements enhance our sense of Universal Life Energy, which moves naturally, pulsing through our feet, our head, and our hands. Through an awakened heart, we dance and sing freely. We connect with our Spiritual Essence. As our circle connects and moves, we touch that finely woven golden thread of Spirit connecting each of us, one to the other. Looking deeply within our partner’s eyes, we circle round, changing partners and recognizing that spiritual glow in each and every face . . . . A gentle peace emanates forth, resounding in an awareness that we all One.

“Spirit of Peace
to your cause, we give our strength.
That love may reign and war may cease.
Mir Mir U, mir.”…
Dance of Peace
Leading a Dance of Peace at my PathWeavers Shadowcliff Retreat…. we had so many!!
I believe this one was about 1998? Robin Maynard on guitar.

The Dances of Universal Peace are part of a timeless tradition of sacred dance: using sacred phrases, chants, music and movements that celebrate the sacred heart of Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Sikhism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and the Celtic, Native American, Native Middle Eastern, Native African and the Great Goddess traditions.
“Circle round and round,
we hold each other’s hand.
We weave our life in a circle.
Our love is strong and the dance goes on.”
