Many of us have found that positive statements or affirmations can have a direct impact on helping to shift old patterns of belief that drive us. Specific and meaningful words and phrases, carefully chosen, and held in our consciousness, can foster a new belief, refine or enhance our thoughts, and encourage new behaviors. Understanding words can soothe our fears and bring comfort to difficulties that present themselves. Even seemingly simple words can inspire you to stretch and grow.
“I am lovable. I am loved. I love. I give and receive love in a healthy balance.”
“I know you can do this (whatever this is)” or “ I believe in you!” 
You can speak these good words out loud. You can write them in your journal
(studies have shown this can enhance their impact). Or write them on little cards
or pretty paper and leave them as little love notes to yourself!
