I just returned from a remarkable metaphysical cruise to the Caribbean. Wow! It was absolutely wonderful (more about that later).
Re-entry can be challenging and this time it was especially so. After leaving the ship at 9 am and having and adventurous day exploring book stores in Florida, my flight was a late one getting in at 11:15 pm – with delayed baggage finally arriving at 12:15. Mine had been randomly inspected and was a mess.
My son came to get us at 11:45 and since our baggage was delayed he was asked to circle the loop around passenger pickup. His tire blew out (even though it was brand new!) and was bad enough that it necessitated changing right there in the middle of a merge lane. He was clipped by a car with no lights and gratefully, not badly hurt. When he finally made it to our designated spot, the temporary tire was losing air too; something sharp was on these roads. We had to call a tow truck and wait 45 minutes and then the driver couldn’t accommodate the three of us with bags.
Soooo my son went with his car and we called an Uber at 1:30 in the morning and finally made it home long after 2:00. I had plants to water and bedtime was 4 am (6:00 ship time). My crazy day was 24 hours long.
So what do YOU do in the midst of chaos and challenge?
~
I like to center on knowing that no matter what, I am ABLE.
– honestly assess the situation.
B – look on the bright side – we traveled safely, my son wasn’t badly injured.
in the midst of turmoil, what can you be grateful for?
– Lean into it! This is the problem-solving piece.
What is within your control? What can you do? What is the next step?
– Experience Shapeshift by melding the situation into something useful or positive. How can you make the most of the difficulty? For me, I had a sweet conversation with my son and read 50 pages in a captivating book. Much better than tapping my toe while watching the clock and focusing on how tired I was.
Although I felt cold and exhausted, admittedly, this wasn’t the most challenging of situations.

This “I am ABLE” approach helps you navigate in and through even the harshest of times, helping you keep grounded in the trust of your ability to make it to the other side.May you be safe and blessed this day. Take care and I hope our paths cross soon,
